France:
If you do not think you are available on the day of delivery, you have the option of having your package received by a third person. You just need to activate this option in your tracking link.
Belgium and The Netherlands:
If you do not expect to be available on the day of delivery, PostNL will attempt to deliver your parcel to your neighbors. If this attempt fails PostNL will make a second delivery attempt.
If the delivery time is not suitable for you and the parcel is delivered when you are not at home, you can select a different delivery day and time for the second delivery attempt by using PostNL's "
Change Delivery" option. This allows you to choose the day and time of the 2nd delivery attempt until 22.00 in the evening. You do this with the
not-home code. This code, starting with
KB, is on the paper the carrier will leave in your mailbox after the 1st delivery attempt.
This service is completely free. Through the following steps you can customize your delivery:
1. If you are not at home at the first delivery attempt, the carrier will leave a note in the mailbox, with the not-home code on it.
2. Via the track & trace module you fill in your non home code and zip code.
3. Customize the delivery to the desired day
4. Confirm the modification with your email address
Austria, Germany and Luxembourg:
If you are not at home, DHL will leave a notice in your letter box (not-at-home card). They will try to deliver the parcel at a pick-up point or at one of your neighbours. With this letter you can collect your box at the pick-up point or choose another delivery option via the intervention portal mentioned on the card. If DHL have your email address, they will also send a notification by email.
